The east coast is carpeted with Goldcrests this morning.

    At Cresswell I was looking for Goldcrest but didn't manage to see any, still lots of leaves on the trees on the way to the Hide

    Hundreds at St Mary's Whitley Bay this morning. Goldcrests that is, not birders chasing the Red-flanked Blue Tail :)

    I really must try and get to St Marys, I have been saying that for 2 weeks now but the Goldcrest just might be the one to encourage me to brave the misserable weather.
